サッカーなどの総合球技場を巡っては、競技関係者などから建設を求める声がありますが、県は110億円以上の建設費と、維持管理費として毎年1億3000万円以上の財政負担などを理由に建設議論は進んでいません。
26日に開かれた県議会の代表質問で総合球技場の建設が取り上げられ、県は現時点での建設に否定的な考えを示しました。
県観光文化スポーツ部 落合直樹部長:
持続可能性なき建設であり不適当であると考えております。
その理由に年間5000万円から8000万円の維持管理費の赤字が想定され、補填のためヴァンフォーレ甲府のスタジアム使用料など、年間約8500万円の減免措置の見直しが避けられず、チームの経営に重大な影響を与えるとしました。
その上で今後、スポーツ産業として成熟し、民間投資を呼び込むことが出来れば建設の道も開けるとしています。
