アメリカ音楽界で最高の栄誉とされる「グラミー賞」の主催団体は16日、AI=人工知能だけで作った楽曲を授賞の対象外とする新たなルールを発表しました。
これは来年行われる第66回「グラミー賞」についての新たなルールで、「受賞の資格があるのは、人間のクリエイターのみ」で、「人間の作者を含まない作品は、いかなる部門も対象外」としています。
ただ、AIの使用について、全面的に禁止はしておらず、人間の作者が一定程度以上の「意味のある」割合で制作に関わっている場合、授賞の対象になるということです。
音楽界では、元ビートルズのポール・マッカートニーさんが、過去の音源からAIでジョン・レノンさんの声を抽出し、楽曲を完成させたと発表するなど、AIの活用が広がっています。
一方、既存の楽曲を学習したAIが、新たな楽曲を生み出すことについては、著作権侵害などを懸念する声もあがっています。
