＜高校野球千葉大会：東京学館浦安8－4千葉敬愛＞◇17日◇4回戦◇千葉・ゼットエーボールパーク
オリックス、巨人などで活躍した谷佳知氏（50）を父に、女子柔道48キロ級で00年シドニー、04年アテネ五輪金メダルの谷亮子氏（47）を母に持つ、東京学館浦安の谷佳亮（よしあき）外野手（3年）が2試合連続本塁打を放ち、チームの16強入りに貢献した。
1－2で迎えた3回の第2打席。谷は初球をフルスイングすると、右翼スタンドに放り込んだ。3回戦の県船橋戦に続く、貴重な同点本塁打。打球の行方を確認した後、右手を高く上げて喜んだ。7回にも右安打を放ち、チームも8－4で勝利した。
両親から引き継いだ観察眼を生かした。無安打に終わった初戦の桜林戦後「見極めができていなかった」と反省していた。この日の第1打席。初球、2球目とストライクを見送った。最後は空振り三振に終わったが、しっかりと相手投手の球筋を頭に入れ、次の打席に即結果を出した。東京学館浦安は5回戦進出を決めた。
◆谷佳亮（たに・よしあき）2005年12月31日、兵庫県生まれ、東京都育ち。小学3年からアイスホッケーを始め、中学2年まで打ち込む。東京学館浦安高入学後に野球を開始。50メートル走は6秒1、遠投は89メートル。174センチ、68キロ。左投げ左打ち。
