タレントの柳原可奈子が２６日、インスタグラムを更新し、ユニクロが廃番予定だった股下がスナップで止められるボディスーツについて、一部の利用者の声を反映し、販売を継続するとしたことに、感謝をつぶやいた。柳原の長女は脳性まひを患っており、娘にとってこのボディスーツが必須アイテムだとも訴えていた。
柳原は数々のボディスーツ（ロンパース）の写真をアップし、「長女の場合、抱っこで座位保持装置に座らせたり降ろしたりすることが多いので、めくれて肌が見えないロンパース肌着がマスト」と説明。乳幼児用のサイズがほとんどの中、ユニクロは「１６０サイズまであると教えて頂きました」と大きなサイズがあることを知ったという。
柳原は「無くならないで欲しいの声がネットニュースにもなっていました！そうなんです。大きいサイズのロンパース助かるの。ＵＮＩＱＬＯさん是非続けてください」と呼びかけていたが、その後、ユニクロが継続販売すると知り「続けて下さるそうです」と喜んだ。
ボディスーツについては、重度心身障害児や自閉症児の保護者たちが多数利用しており、存続を願うツイートがきっかけで、ユニクロにまで届き、継続販売が決まった経緯がある。
