一般社団法人橋田文化財団は12日、元経理担当職員が財団の金を横領した疑いで逮捕されたと報告した。
公式サイトで「本日、当財団の元職員（経理担当事務員、2022年3月末日付で解雇）が当財団の現預金を横領したとの容疑で逮捕されました」とし、「事件の詳細は現在も警察で捜査中であり、引き続き捜査に全面的に協力してまいります。個別の取材等には応じかねますのでご理解いただけますと幸いです」と伝えた。
橋田文化財団は、放送文化に関する創作活動の奨励や新人育成などを目的に、脚本家・橋田壽賀子さんが1992年設立。橋田さんは2021年4月に95歳で死去した。
